Our chicken and beef has been doing well. We have processed several calves and a lot of chickens thus far this year. The spring/summer garden has withered away besides a few pepper plants, although we have a few fall plants growing, summer is winding down. The egg laying chickens are loving being able to free-range (something new we started this year). We have had three hens to set and hatch off 18 babies. Several new baby calves have been born recently.
Our markets are slowly coming to an end with a few exceptions being: Bailey Cove on Saturdays (ending at the end of September), Meridianville Tuesday Markets (ending at the end of September), and Green Street (ending at the end of October). With this being said our home shop at the farm is open year around on Fridays from 10-5 and Saturdays 9-12 or by appointment.
On another note, Daddy and I took the last two batches of chickens to the processor together and Daddy helped me clean all the giblets! I was so proud of him, he was such a sport!
